Boot Making

The Boot and Saddle program at OSU Okmulgee was transferred to GCTC in August of 2005. The program offers career preparation in bootmaking, saddlemaking, and repair. Students gain exerience in cutting, shaping, tooling, and sewing many types of leathers and become skilled in the operation and maintenance of related specialized machinery.

Boot Maker

Students will be able to measure, design and construct custom boots, including tops, decorative stitching, inlays, overlays, select quality materials and demonstrate a working knowledge of wood and plastic lasts, including last modification techniques.
