Carpentry

The Carpentry program at GCTC is designed to teach many different occupations within the carpentry career cluster. The first and most important thing that students learn is safety. The students then move on to site layout, forming, concrete, framing, roofing, exterior finish, insulation, drywall and interiro finishing which consists of cabinet, trim, and some floor finishes. The main teaching project each year is a house, custom built, for selected clients in the community.

Frame Carpenter

This career major will introduce students to the basic skills of a carpenter, safety practices and carpentry tools and equipment uses/operations.he main teaching project each year is a house, custom built, for selected clients in the community.
