The students
in the Computer Aided Drafting Program will learn the use of computer systems
and CAD (computer aided drafting) software as a tool to create geometric
shapes, parts, and drawings.
They learn basic CAD drawing and editing commands
and progress to using advanced commands that enhance productivity and accuracy.
Printers and plotters are utilized to create finished drawings to industry
standards.
Students will
learn a variety of CAD software including Auto CAD, Solid Works, Pro engineer
and 3d Studio Max as well as Microsoft software.
The windows operating
system will be used to manage drawing files.
