CNC Machining Technology

Instructor - Jerry Logan

The CNC Machining Technology program at GCTC teaches general manufacturing. The CNC Machining Technology course will orient students to machine shop safety, basic hand tools, precision instruments, lathes, vertical milling machines, surface grinders, and Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) machining. Students have the opportunity to develop skills including programming and set-up of both CNC machining centers and turning centers. The course covers basic skills, through complex machine shop skills required in today's computer age. Blueprint reading, math skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are emphasized.
