The Jefferson Memorial

The Jefferson Memorial is a monument in Washington D.C. that was built to honor an American Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson.
Construction started in 1939 and was completed in 1943. The bronze statue of Jefferson was not added until 1947.
The Memorial does not recieve near as many vistiors as some of the other monuments. This is partly due to location.
